Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is involved in the many functions of the organism. It is involved in the formation of collagen, a protein of the connective tissue, in the metabolism of amino acids, in the synthesis of various hormones and in the intestinal absorption of iron. The vitamin is considered as a true antioxidant, which fighting excess free radicals.
 
VITAMIN C combines the virtues of vitamin C and Lithothamne, a red algae particularly rich in calcium and minerals, to offer a complete action to the body. VITAMIN C is suitable for all types of horses (athletes, aged horses, young horses, ...).
